Randomization

The order of both questions and question options can be randomized by making the list an unordered or "bullet" list.

An ordered, or "numbered" list keeps the questions and options in the same order as they appear in Word.

Point Scoring

A student is not required to select any of the options, but there must be at least two correct options to be a multiple select question. Studens are awarded points for both checked correct and unchecked incorrect options. *If your question has less than 2 correct answers, you must add a paragraph indicating 'Type: multi'.

Ordering

The ordering question displays several items in a random order which are to be put in the correct sequence. Clicking on the "up" and "down" arrows will allow the student to reorder the items.
  1. Arrange the taxonomic rank into the correct hierarchy:
    1. Phylum
    2. Class
    3. Order
    4. Family
    5. Genus
    6. Species

Correct Sequence

Use an ordered list to put the items in the sequence required for the student to get the question correct.

Items will be displayed at random and out of sequence when taking the question.

Point Scoring

One point is awarded for every item that is in its correct spot.

Matching

The matching question requires the student to match a numbered item to its corresponding pair.

@ Eat the rainbow. Taste the rainbow.

    • Green = Leaf
    • Red = Tomato
    • Orange = Carrot

Fill in the Blank

The fill-in-the-blank question requires the student to type a response into a text field or select an option from a dropdown menu.
  1. Fill in the blank questions come in two varieties, [open-ended,open ended] and [*dropdown, throwdown, showdown, hoedown, topdown] lists.

@ Use the square brackets to indicate the blank area. For open-ended questions, you can provide alternate spellings separated by a comma. Dropdown questions are similar to multiple choice as they require 1 correct answer.
